  • Florida has very pleasant, temperate weather. It rarely gets cold or snows, so you can enjoy spending time outside throughout the entire year. Although there are occasionally strong storms and rain, this happens much less frequently than it does in more northern states. The large amounts of sun and warm weather are proven to reduce stress and make you feel happier.
  • Florida is home to several large cities as well as hundreds of smaller towns, so there is always something new to explore that is in driving distance. There is also a lot of diversity in the landscape, so you can go from the beach to the forest to a huge city in under an hour.
  • Florida is home to a variety of diverse cultural attractions. From many different major league sports teams, to a huge variety of museums, to a vibrant nightlife scene in almost every major city, there’s something for everyone to do, from families to students to single professionals.

For David C Minton, Florida has been an amazing place to call home for such a long time.

David C Minton – Popular Water Sports

David C Minton lives in the Tampa, Florida area and works as a physician. In his free time, he enjoys participating in all kinds of water sports. Tampa is an incredible location for water sports, as the weather is generally pleasant, and there are plenty of places nearby to practice almost any water sport. Tampa’s location on the Gulf of Mexico means that the water is generally calm and blue and that the sand at most beaches is also very pristine. Here are some of the most popular water sports in Florida.

  • Surfing is an extremely popular water sport, because it is thrilling and exciting. Surfing involves standing on top of a board to balance on top of waves as they roll in. Variations of traditional surfing include body boarding, which involves riding the wave on a board on your stomach, or body surfing, which occurs when you surf the wave without a board and just use your body.
  • Another popular water sport is water skiing. Water skiing involves riding on a pair of skis across the water, while being pulled by a boat or other vehicle. The rider is attached to the boat with a cable. Many people particularly enjoy water skiing because of its high speeds, and also because it can be learned recreationally.
  • Wakeboarding is a similar sport to water skiing, but with a twist. The rider is pulled by a boat across the water while holding on to a flexible cable and riding a board similar to a surfboard. Wakeboarding often involves doing many tricks similar to those seen in snowboarding, and is a fairly new sport, as it was created in the 1980’s.

When he is not busy helping his patients, David C Minton enjoys being at the beach and participating in leisure activities such as boating and popular water sports.
